Most modification is still clunky and relies on heavy customization, limited to spectating the in-game world only, with no combat mode at the moment. The catch is they need to be patient because Blizzard has no sign of backing up the project. Imagine flying through Blackrock mountain, Murloc villages, Booty Bay, ah the feeling.
Therefore modded game patches and third-party apps are blossoming so fans alike can experience the world of Azeroth or Dalaran like never before.

Even worse, any modification to the game on any public server is considered cheating, and any player doing so will be banned. Imagine if you could leave your basement, living room or bedroom to step into a REAL Azeroth for a few hours a day… I mean… DAMN! Anyone who gave VR a chance knows what I’m talking about.World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game. I mean, I played 100 hours of Skyrim VR on my Playstation 4 with the PSVR headset and it’s just so intense! You literally dimension travel to Tamriel and leave Planet Earth 1 hour a day. You have no idea how mind-blowing VR is until you try it FFS!!!

Not to play full time, but just to occasionally explore 1 hour every now and then. Just dude it ffs!!! I will buy a $1200 HTC Vive if WoW was ever supported by Blizzard VR.

but it sucks! I mean geez… it’s 720p per eye!!!īut why bother? WHY CAN’T BLIZZARD INVEST $75,000 MAX on VR? Why can’t we play World of Warcraft in VR outside of cimematic mode? Are you seriously telling me Blizz can’t afford $75k on a single dude or dudette to code a VR add-on for WoW? It’s not like I can’t plug my PSVR on PC. All I play lately are Blizzard games and because Blizzard refuses to support VR, I would rather just not spend $500 to $1000 on an Oculus or Vive headset and stick to my cheap 720p PSVR headset. The only reason I’m not buying a new PC VR headset is cause… so much PC VR stuff are gimmicks.

You could literally pay a single person… a single fan or pro VR developer, $50k to $75k for a year, to develop a VR Version of World of Warcraft… I mean god damn, even I AM reading on Unity VR Game Development as a hobby and OMG it’s so not complicated!!!
